A Romantic Love Letter written by Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804 – 1864) to his wife Sophia Amelia Peabody.
romantic love letter written 5 December, 1839 shortly after they were married.
Are you still writing love letters to your loved one? It is recommended that you continue to fire up the love in your romantic relationship and keep it burning bright.
Dearest, – I wish I had the gift of making rhymes, for methinks there is poetry in my head and heart since I have been in love with you.
You are a Poem. Of what sort, then? Epic? Mercy on me, no! A sonnet? No; for that is too labored and artificial.
You are a sort of sweet, simple, gay, pathetic ballad, which Nature is singing, sometimes with tears, sometimes with smiles, and sometimes with intermingled smiles and tears.

Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804 – 1864) the American author and short story writer wrote this love letter to his wife Sophia Amelia Peabody shortly after their marriage whilst he was still an well known but financially struggling author.
As will have been seen he (like many of us do) even as a professional and accomplished author struggles to find the right words of love to write. His best known works includes “The Scarlet Letter” and “The House of The Seven Gables”.
We have already published a number of other love letters written between these two lovers which were longer and more romantic than this love letter but the letter does come from the heart and shows the difficulty even he went through to find the right words. Maybe he should clicked on the box on the right hand side to discover easier ways of writing sexy love letters to his wife.
What about you? What are your thoughts on this subject?
Dearest, – I wish I had the gift of making rhymes, for methinks there is poetry in my head and heart since I have been in love with you.
